So, a while ago the nice people of Oiselle, the women's running apparel company, reached out to me asking if I'd try something from their line and hold a giveaway. I had checked out their gear before and loved the cute styles and colors, so it didn't take me more than 30 seconds to respond with an enthusiastic YES!
Because I'm always nervous to buy running shorts online without trying on first (I never know if they'll fit right or not) I decided to try their Oiselle Birds Tee. Their running tees are all 50/50 pre-washed and super soft. They have a feminine shape but not super tight, which I definitely like. I chose the orange color because I need more bright things in my wardrobe and a size medium.
I wore it the same day it arrived and loved it because it fit well and was really soft. It was a warm early-summer day but because it's pretty lightweight, it didn't feel like I was wearing a heavy t-shirt. I'm always nervous that t-shirts will shrink with the first wash, but this one didn't shrink one bit! Since then, I've worn it a few times more and the color hasn't faded at all. Love it!
Along with the shirt, they sent me a catalog of what's to come in their line. When they reached out to me I thought their online offerings were somewhat slim and I'd only seen a few Oiselle pieces in athletic shops around the city, but let me tell you, there are some beautiful things to come (some of the pieces are already available)! I can't wait to try more and I hope to find a few pieces when we're in Seattle later this month!
A little about the company:
"Oiselle (pronounced wa-zell) means "bird" in french, and alludes to the flight of running. It was founded on the basic premise that running is more than a sport. It is a life philosphy that has the power to strengthen us - not just as athletes, but as people, teammates, leaders, and women." Sally Bergesen, started the company after years in marketing a branding for a variety of start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. As a runner in her youth, she came back to it again and realized none of the running apparel out there suited her needs and wants. On the website, she refers to running as several things, such as "our therapy, escape, religion, girl time and freedom." I can relate to all of this and guess you can too. The company is based in Seattle.
