Back to City Life

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a great week while I was gone. I definitely have a lot of catching up to do with my blog reading over the next few days...

Yesterday, Woody and I went from this:
and this:

to this:

Quite a culture/environmental shock. Even though we were only gone for a week, we instantly felt a bit closed in when we got back into the city. Nevertheless, we are back home and jumping back into our regular routine: beginning with the gym this morning at our usual 5:15am time.

Last week was filled with a wide range of events and emotions. Among the low lights was the gloomy, rainy, chilly and windy weather we had the majority of the week (that's what we get when we schedule a trip to Northern Michigan in June!) but the highlights included Melody's wedding, a 5K with my Mom, climbing the dunes at Sleepy Bear Dunes, enjoying ice cream from Moomer's, reading and relaxing at the cottage, delicious s'mores, exploring farmers markets in Traverse City and Suttons Bay, and and the Leland Wine and Food Festival. It was great to see family and friends too, of course! So, we had an overwhelmingly great time!

You have a lot to look forward to this week, if for no other reason than the fact that I'll be sharing much more of our trip with you! Aren't you lucky?!

How do you adjust to 'real life' when you get back from vacation?

That's so awesome you were in Northern Michigan! Going back to reality can be a bit hard but there is always something nice about routine as well
