The Snow Is Here!

The snow storm missed us last weekend, but this new one arrived overnight. City school officials announced mid-day yesterday that schools would be closed today so all the kids were rejoycing. I'm going to try and take a walk to the park later today, but for now, I'll leave you with these pics from our living room window. The snow has made it impossible to see quite a few buildings. I wish we had a sled, or that I could borrow my Dad's snowshoes!

If you're getting snow too, be careful out there, but try to take a few minutes and enjoy it, too!

There are times when I miss the snow. I've lived most of my life in California, but I did spend 7 winters elsewhere. I hated the mess and the shoveling and the driving in it, but it is SO beautiful that I do kind of miss it. A little.

Stopping by from SITS! Hope you have a great (snow) day!

Lansing , Mi offically had 10.2" of snow. As we already had about 2 1/2 on the ground when they were saying Lansing had 1.1" , I'd guess we had at least 11 if not 12" . Nothing compared to the DC and Philly area. Our schools are closed all over. Due to budget constraints , only main roads are plowed during storms . No ober time any more. It could be 2 to 3 days before we see a plow. It is pretty. The cardinals are flocking to the bird feeders and the herd of 7 teenagery deer , yearlings , have been here banging on the feeders to get sunflower seeds!

Hope you enjoy the snow. I'm just plain sick of it!! Of course snow and -30 degree temps go hand in hand here which makes it pretty hard to enjoy!!

Here in Connecticut I've only gotten about an inch of snow so far. They keep saying we'll get 6-12 inches by midnight. We'll see. Cool pics of your NY City snow. Thanks for sharing.

thanks for checking out my blog today! We share the same food philosophy, I need to have some chocolate every day, but I try to eat healthy the majority of the time. Nice job with the NYC marathon, I put in for the lottery for this year, not high hopes, but we'll see!
