Everything is Bigger in Texas

I don't have much time this morning, so thought I'd give you a quick recap of our trip in pictures:

First, I must say that I was having camera issues the first day and unfortunately have no pictures from the pep rally or New Years Eve.

We found a great local breakfast place (well, it was featured on Man vs. Food). They have 3lb cinnamon buns. We decided to skip this, two people aren't enough to dig into this guy, but had a great breakfast and I definitely recommend Lulu's on N Main St.

The Alamo is free, so if you visit the city, this is a don't miss. But, be sure to leave a little donation if you go, since they don't receive any state or federal funding.

Market Square is cool, but don't go on a major holiday. Half of it is shut down.

Meeting friends from home for breakfast while on vacation is one fun time. We met at Taco Taco Cafe, another local favorite, and had another great "Mexican" breakfast!

We hit up the Pearl Brewery farmers market and were a bit disappointed we couldn't take some of this honey and a few jars of jam home on the plane with us. It's a very cool complex that we kind of fell upon when driving around. Glad we did! We even got free mini chair massages at the Aveda Institute on site!

It can be rough being a Spartan, but even if our team doesn't win, we can always count on the Spartan Marching Band and Sparty.

Have a great day!!

As a Native Tejana, I can tell you that San Antonio is the best city in the world...next to NYC, that is! SITS sent me by, and I'm glad they did!

Sounds like a fun trip!! I've only been to Texas for job training and while on tour with Drum Corps so I didn't get to see the sites.

Glad you had fun ! I really think if our 14 players hadn't been suspended , we could have won that game. We shot ourselves in the foot several times and some really bad calls and a critical injury changed the tide. The game was winable ! Go Green ! We saw you+ Matt on tv 2nd 1/2 and John saw you 1st 1/2 !

Those are great pictures Lisa! I loved San Antonio too and also enjoyed the Alamo and Market Square. Actually, I purchased a few pieces of very cool art at the Market Square:)

Sounds like a grand ol' time in Texas. Just one question - how did you ever convince yourself to come back to this weather? Haha! Great pics!
