Season of Giving Giveaway

I’m so excited to announce this giveaway! I’ve pulled together, what I think, is a pretty great package for someone to win. Some of the items have been donated by companies for the giveaway, others are things I’ve collected over the past few months.

It’s the holiday season, the season of giving, so it’s the perfect time for a giveaway, right?

One winner is going to get all this…

IMG_1258

A 4-pack of running inspired greeting cards from Banana Blossom Press, a Seattle-based small business specializing in greeting cards and tees. The best part is that the founder and owner is a runner! They’ve also partnered with Trees for the Future to plant a tree for every greeting card and tee purchased on their website. One of my favorite cards says “Stop saying ‘just a half’”!

A Banjee wrist wallet from Sprigs. While Sprigs isn’t technically a running company, I think these wrist wallets would be perfect for a run! You can tuck your wallet, keys, even a phone (in the large ones) right on your wrist! There are tons of patterns and colors to choose from. Their affinity scarfs look pretty incredible, too! I can’t wait till I’m running again and can try out the one they sent me!

I have this weird quirk, I have to brush my teeth before I run or workout. Have you ever had to drive a distance for your race or long run and had to eat on the way? It’s not so easy to brush your teeth in a porta-potty or with a bottle of water. iBresh makes biodegradable disposable tooth brushes and the winner will get ten Bresh toothbrushes!

A Photon LED Vest from Nathan. The days are shorter now but runners are still running and it’s super important to be careful while running in the dark. You’ll definitely be seen in this reflective vest with multiple reflective points creating 360 degrees of reflectivity, although you’ll probably be just a blur!! It’s incredibly lightweight, has a zippered pocket for your ID and phone, plus another smaller pocket for keys. It’s also adjustable so it should fit just about everyone!

And all this….

A copy of “The Runners Field Manual” by Mark Remy, a white Mizuno visor and a box of my favorite mint tea from Trader Joe’s!

How to enter -

My favorite holiday tradition is church then tamales on Christmas eve. Gifts are after that, but to be honest, i'm not really all that into the opening gifts

Yay holiday traditions! Every Christmas Eve, my cousins and I have to wait outside the living room while one of our 5 uncles hides a pickle-shaped ornament in the Christmas tree. We then split the 12 of us into two teams (sometimes by age, sometimes by sex) and one team has to go find the pickle! You're not allowed to use your hands, but have to spot the green pickle in the green tree! The "Pickle Winner" gets a prize, and whichever team finds the pickle first (each of the two rounds is timed), gets bragging rights for the next year! It especially funny because we have some youngsters who can get under the tree and some color-blind in-laws who make the contest especially entertaining.

My favorite holiday tradition is probably baking goodies for friends and neighbors with my kids. I get to bake (which I love) but give it away so I am not tempted to eat it!

My favorite holiday tradition is running in road race the night of thanksgiving. Santa rides a motorcycle as the pace car and we chase him into the holiday season.

My husband and I like to pick out a new tree ornament together every year, that has some significance to what is going on in our lives. For example, the year we bought the sloop, we chose a sailboat ornament.
